My publisher just sent me the cover for my forthcoming release, Time’s Relative, a time-travel thriller.
Here is the unedited blurb for the book:
It’s the fall of 1998, and librarian Samantha Stewart is seeking a new job. After seeing an ad for a high-paying position at a company called Virtual Software that entails research and travel, Sam investigates the company and learns that its president has gone missing and that it’s currently being run by the vice-president, a man named Greg Parsons.
Sam is visited by a strange woman dressed in back who warns her about going on the interview and claims that she’s Jane Oldsfield and is traveling through time planting time disks in strategic locations to make time travel available for everyone and a source of great profit for her. She explains that Greg Parsons is trying to prevent her from her mission because he believes time shouldn’t be tampered with and is concerned with the ethical aspects of time travel.
Doubting what she was told, Sam ignores the woman and goes on the job interview. She soon finds herself involved with Greg Parsons; Philip Montmart, a chain-smoking detective with a vendetta for his wife’s killer; and the time-traveling Oldsfield and her feline accomplice.
Traveling back and forth in time to stop Oldsfield from planting the time-travel disks, Sam learns some disturbing and unusual things that may or may not occur to her, her friends, and her relatives in the future. She also witnesses world events that have yet to happen in her lifetime; The Y2K hysteria, 9/11, Hurricane Sandy, and the COVID pandemic.
Keep an eye out on this blog and/or my newsletter for information about the upcoming release.
