Holiday Cozy Mystery Giveaways

As I mentioned in my December Author News, two of my cozy mystery eBooks are free Friday, December 3 through Monday, December 6.

Sneaky’s Christmas Mystery won the coveted Muse Medallion from the Cat Writers’ Association.

Another death has occurred in Cobble Cove near the holidays. This time, it’s the owner of the new pet store in town who was felled by a case of cat food that crushed his skull. Was it an accident, or murder? While the townspeople including the sheriff are divided in their opinions, Sneaky and Kittykai, the library and inn cats, sniff out the truth.

Here are some reviews:

SHORT AND SWEET

“A quick coffee break read that has you catching up not only on the humans but also the animal residents in a small town. The death of a new owner of a pet shop has divided the town. Was it an accident or was it murder?”

FUN BOOK TO READ

” . . . a quick moving and fun book to read.”

Celebrating Christmas with My Characters was the first Cobble Cove story. It introduces the characters from the first two books through the gifts they give their author (me).

The characters from Debbie De Louise’s Cobble Cove cozy mysteries gather in the Cobble Cove library to celebrate the holidays. Each character receives a gift from the author, and Alicia, the main character, reads some excerpts from the first book, A Stone’s Throw, and the new release, Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

Here are some reviews:

WHAT AN INTERESTING WAY TO INTRODUCE YOUR BOOKS! NOW I WANT TO READ THEM ALL!

This short novel has served its purpose, with me at least. I now want to read these books in their entirety!”

FIVE STARS

“Love this author…another of her winning novels!”

I hope you enjoy both of these seasonal stories and wish you all a very Happy and Healthy Holiday.

I’m proud to announce that my books will be sold at the new Long Island Author’s Group Bookstore at the Westfield South Shore Mall on Long Island. The Grand Opening, originally scheduled for his Wednesday, September 1st, has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, September 8, starting at 6 p.m. The bookstore is located at the Islip Arts Council Gallery in Westfield South Shore Mall, 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bayshore, NY, next to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Store. I’ll be there with my fellow LIAG members and hope some of you will be able to attend. Refreshments will be served.

On September 3rd, my paranormal short story, “Murder in the Mirror” will be published in the Red Penguin Collection’s supernatural anthology, UNTIL DAWN, that features chilling tales by some great authors. Check out the trailer below.

I’m also happy to announce that several of my poems are being read on Diverse TV and being recorded on YouTube. Some of these poems are from my new poetry anthology, MEOWS AND PURRS: A COLLECTION OF CAT POEMS.

The following poem, “We All Lost Something During the Pandemic” was dedicated to my friend Clare who passed away from COVID.

My last announcement is that my new Cobble Cove cozy mystery, BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE, has been accepted by Solstice Publishing. This story features all the quirky characters in my series with Fido, the golden retriever, in a starring role. Of course, Sneaky, the Siamese, who is the main pet of the series, will have his share of the action.

Don’t Forget your Easter Gift

I hope you all had a nice Easter/Passover. This is just a reminder that my Easter mystery, KittyKai’s Easter Mystery, is free through Monday, April 5.

During an Easter egg hunt at the Cobble Inn, a ring is found on the grounds by Alicia’s daughter, Carol. When the sheriff has it examined, he discovers it belonged to him and Gilly’s neighbor, Gretchen Miller, who disappeared the month before. An investigation leads to the discovery of Mrs. Miller’s body buried on the site of the inn’s new construction.

As Alicia and Gilly set out to solve this new mystery despite their husbands’ discouragement, Sneaky and Kittykai, the library and inn cats, secretly lend them a paw.

Here’s what reviewers are saying about this fun, short mystery:

“Cobble Cove is a world you would love to live in – spending days at the inn or the library, curled up with your cats, your best friend a murder mystery writer – the perfect cosy mystery series!”

This is a fun and very quick read, and makes me want more. I’ll be back for more adventures with these Cats!

A fun read, especially if you have cats and know their intelligence, ingenuity, and curiosity.
